Mission: This ministry is an opportunity to earn service time. Students will receive time for attending the meetings as long as they are working on a project. They will earn service time for completed projects, also. Students will crochet or loom knit baby, child, or adult hats (beanies). These hats are donated to our church for gifts to babies at Baptism and to our local hospitals.
Equipment: All students will need to bring their own crochet hook or loom kit every session. Yarn will be provided. We have plenty of colors to choose from!
Loom Kits: A small knitting loom used to make baby hats. The medium knitting loom that can be used to make kid hats.
Crochet hooks: A size H/5mm crochet hook. You can make any size hat with these.

Mission: To discuss different types of agricultural species and uses, similarities and differences between chickens, quail, ducks, turkey, the various breeds and difference between farm raised eggs and commercial eggs. Why do chickens lay eggs every day? Explain selective breeding for egg laying vs meat production and chick development process. Learn about egg --> details of hatching and what they need.

Mission: Play games in a family style environment. We have many board and card games and puzzles to choose from. We are asking all St. Mary families for donations of gently used games and puzzles. Come and play!

Musical Theater

Mission: We bring musicals to life while encouraging children to dream about who they are and may become. We explore stories from different perspectives and connect to other people and ideas. Our program encourages children to grow in communication and organization while promoting faith and kindness.

Orchestra

Mission: Students will learn instrument technique, reading music, music theory, orchestra etiquette, ensemble playing, teamwork, self-confidence, and performance skills. We will have performances throughout the year, performance-based service projects, and a field trip!
